How to switch subtitle language
- Start any movie or TV episode
- Click the "CC" button in the player toolbar
- Pick your language from the dropdown
- The subtitles attach instantly — no reload needed
Our subtitle quality standard
We prefer human-translated subtitles where available. Auto-generated subtitles are clearly labeled with "(auto)". For popular titles we add multiple human translations per language (e.g. UK English vs US English; Latin Spanish vs Castilian).
Why this matters for language learners
Watching native-language film with subtitles in your target language is one of the most-recommended techniques for vocabulary acquisition. Our players let you toggle subtitles on/off mid-scene and adjust subtitle size. Pair it with our drama catalog for slower, dialogue-heavy films.
